ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

ALL INDIA JAMiatUL QURESH

At the time of freedom struggle of Indian Independence there was a vacuum of power and uncertainties of a vacuum were prevailing in the minds of all the Indian Muslims, who were the rulers. Under the prevailing precarious conditions a great need was felt to speed up their economic development and regain their lost glory.

So, a sense and a sense of need was felt in 1924 by a group of the Quresh community in Delhi and Meerut who had their own organization or society under the sidewalk – a banner of roof and onder to stand on their own feet. tut what suled the Quresh community and solutions together? The Collective Power of the Fellowship was recognized in 1905 by some well wishers of the community.

In 1926-27 a Grand National Conference of Jamiatul Quresh took place at Qasabpura, Sadar Bazar, Delhi by Bhaiya Rashiduddin Ahmad Sahab. The name of the organization was resolved as “ALL INDIA JAMIATUL QURESH and Bhaiya Rashiduddin Ahmad Sahab was unanimously elected as the first President of the All India Jamiatul Quresh .. He never overlooked the needy and meritorious students and established scholarships. He was the true example of Islamic way of life, culture and traditions. Upto 1940 he established and supervised approx. 3700 schools under the banner of AIJQ. Alhaj Jb Sirajuddin Qureshi was unanimously elected as the 11 President, AlJQ on October 28, 2002, at the 60s All India. Quresh Conference General Meet held at Shahi Idgah Maidan, Quresh Nagar, Delhi. After his election as President the Quresh Community entrusted their full faith in the President and expressed their confidence and looked for a direction to lead ALJO to its zenith

All India Quresh Conference at Hapur, speaks a volume of President, AlJQ desire, willingness, determinations and commitments in order to change the complexion of the Quresh Community by way of educating the poor meritorious-youths (girls & boys) and providing them scholarships, grants, donations

According to the President, AIJQ, lack of organizational skill and infra-structural capabilities is hampering the progress of Quresh Community. It is needless to say that there must be cohesiveness and coordinated efforts between the State Committees AIJQ and, the All India Central Committee, ALJQ, in order to bring about desired results failing which dynamism is lost. The initiative must come from within the community. The in-fightings, unpleasantness and lack of proper understanding within the community is regretted and hurdle in progress which can only be redressed and addressed, collectively, and not from outside the community Undoubtedly, The President AIJQ gave momentum, awareness, awakening and new hopes to the community in order to rise to the occasion and to fulfil the dream and hopes left out by their ancestors. The biggest challenge is to change the mental outlook and to motivate them to accept the ground realities of life.

The doctrine of collective power was envisaged and the panciples of T’s revived by the President ALJQ. Further, the President, AIJQ. gave a clarion call for Taleem (Education), Tanzeem (Organisation) and Tijarat (Business) and devoted his time, energy and money in this direction

REMARKS

To sum up, 100 years ago AlJQ came into existence at Meerut/Delhi. Today, the Quresh Community is spread throughout the country. AlJQ is one of the oldest organizations, if we compare it with other organizations in India. There is no separate survey of Quresh population but according to a reliable estimate it is a strong contingent of approx 5 crores people. But, we can’t ignore the very facts that they fall under the OBC category and a very little care has been taken to lift their socio-economic standards. Even, in politics, based upon the principle of proportionate representation (population), there are shocking observations: In, All India services, it is blank. So, there is a point to ponder?

Of course, we share the task writing about Islam in high-tech, troubled and bankrupt world of ours that needs to know more about itself? To that end, we hope this “Website” will help disseminate useful knowledge about the Quresh and their role to play, watch-out in times to come, and one of the world’s Greatest Civilizations like Islam, to those who have a desire, willingness and need to know.An old saying goes like this “Don’t call orphans to those whose father died, instead, orphans are those who are illiterates”.
